App for Android
MRIYU on your phone as a separate app: how to download the APK, install and update it.
MRIYU for Android is a separate app with the site inside. It opens from an icon on your home screen, without the browser's address bar and tabs, full screen and in the colours of your theme.
How to install
- On your phone, open "Menu" → "Settings" → "Account and appearance".
- In the "App for Android" row, tap "Download for Android" — a file named
MRIYU-<version>.apkwill download. - Open the downloaded file (from the download notification or the "Downloads" folder).
- If Android asks for permission, allow installs from this source: turn on "Allow from this source" under "Unknown apps" (the wording may differ slightly between phones) and go back.
- Tap "Install". The MRIYU icon will appear on your home screen.
The app is downloaded from the MRIYU site, not from Google Play — that's why Android asks about "unknown sources". Only download the APK from MRIYU's "Settings".
You can also download the file on a computer, then copy it to your phone and open it there.
What the app can do

| The "Back" button | Closes an open window, then goes back to the previous page, and on the first page minimises the app. |

| Offline | Without a connection, you'll see a "No connection" page with a "Try again" button (it is always in Ukrainian: "Немає з’єднання", "Спробувати ще раз"). |
Notifications
While the app is open, new messages, calls and counters appear right away, just like on the site. When the app is closed or has been in the background for a long time, Android may pause it — then you won't get notifications on your phone, and you'll see everything new as soon as you open MRIYU.
Updates
When a new version comes out, an "App update available" bar appears under the header:
- Tap "Update" — the new APK will download in your browser.
- Open the file and tap "Update" — the app is updated over the old one, and your login and settings are kept.
"Later" hides the bar until the next version. You can also download the latest version yourself at any time: "Settings" → "App for Android" → "Download the latest version". That's also where you can see which version you have now.
