Chat background
Standard backgrounds and your own image for private chats — like in Telegram.
You can decorate a private chat with a background — like in Telegram. The background is shared: both you and the other person see it.
How to change the background
- Open a chat in Messages.
- Click ⋯ in the chat header and choose Chat background. On a phone, use the brush button in the top right corner of the chat.
- Pick a standard background or upload your own image and click Apply.
To remove the background, choose None.
Who sees the change
The background changes for both people at once, and a message such as "Anna changed the chat background" appears in the chat.
Access
Chat backgrounds are a rating feature:

| 12 standard backgrounds: gradients and patterns | from 100% (Bronze level) |
| Your own image | from 300% (Gold level) |
With a background, messages appear as bubbles like in Telegram: yours on the right, the other person's on the left.
