Hedgewars — hedgehog battles

A turn-based game in the spirit of Worms with online matches — in the desktop app.

Hedgewars is turn-based battles between teams of hedgehogs in the spirit of Worms: 40+ weapons, destructible maps, missions and online matches with MRIYU people.

Getting started

1. Open the MRIYU app for Windows — this game isn't available on the website in a browser.
2. Go to Games and click Play on the Hedgewars card.
3. On first launch the game downloads (about 175 MB) — the button shows Downloading game N%, then Installing….
4. Hedgewars opens in its own window and joins the MRIYU server lobby right away.

Your nickname

In the game your name is your MRIYU page address. The game language matches the site.

Playing with friends

• Create room — a new game: pick a map, rules and weapon set, and add your team.
• Join room — join a game someone else created.
• When everyone is ready, the room owner starts the battle.

The game runs as a separate program: closing MRIYU won't interrupt a match.
