Video Roulette

A random video chat partner: "Start", talk, "Next" for someone new.

Video Roulette is a video chat with random MRIYU people. Press "Start" and within seconds you see someone new. Not clicking? Press "Next" and the roulette finds someone else.

Getting started

  1. Open "Games" → the "Video Roulette" card — on the website, on your phone or in the desktop app.
  2. Under "Looking for" choose "Anyone", "Women" or "Men".
  3. Press "Start" and allow access to the camera and microphone.
  4. While the roulette searches you'll see "Looking for someone…". Before you start, the screen shows how many people are in the roulette right now.

Video Roulette is for ages 18+. You need a birth date in your profile — without it you'll see an "Add date of birth" button.

During a chat

  • "Next" (or the Esc key) — move on to the next person.
  • "Stop" — leave the roulette; the camera turns off.
  • The buttons on your own video turn the microphone and camera off.
  • Below is a chat: you can message the person while you're connected. When the chat ends, it is cleared.
  • The top left of their video shows their gender and country from their profile.

If the other person presses "Next" or closes the window, the roulette looks for someone new for you automatically. It won't pair you again right away with the person you just parted with.

Get acquainted

Their name and page are hidden. Liked each other? Press "Get acquainted". Once you both press it, their name appears at the bottom with a link to their page. If they pressed first, the button says "They want to get acquainted".

Rules

  • Keep your face in the frame.
  • No nudity, insults, threats or ads.
  • Adults only: if the person looks like a child, report them.

Remove a rule breaker right away with the "Report" button at the top right: pick a reason and the roulette moves on. If 3 different people report someone within a day, Video Roulette closes for them until the next day.

If it won't connect

  • The camera is busy in another app — close that app.
  • The browser blocked the camera — allow it in the site settings (the icon left of the address).
  • Stuck on "Connecting…" — press "Next": some networks block video calls.
